SITTERS MILESTONE:
Preparation Guide

• A Sitters Milestone Photography Session can take up to 1 hour.

 

Try to book the session just after your child has their nap, we don’t want your baby falling asleep mid photo, although that may make for some funny memories! Also please give your child a snack or meal before the session, a hungry baby may not enjoy the photography session. Also, don’t forget a drink for your baby, posing for photographs can be thirsty work! Additionally, please bring a towel, spare clothes and nappy for your little one for after the milk bath.

Remember that these little tiny humans have a mind of their own so please bring anything that you think may help the photography session run smoothly or that makes your child smile!

STUDIO ADDRESS:

Unit 1, Roman Court, Roman Road, Coventry, CV2 4JL. Located down a driveway at the side of 1 Roman Road. A parking space is available in-front of the studio, alternatively, you may park on Roman Road and walk down the driveway. Car parking is at owners risk, Tyler Bannister Photography will not accept responsibility for any damage, accident or loss.

I begin the photography session with the portraits to capture beautiful photographs of your baby showing off their new skill... sitting! After I have captured a variety of photographs during the portrait section I will set up for the milk bath. 

​

Don’t be afraid to sing songs or pull funny faces behind me to help encourage that smile and laugh. When doing this please do not stand in-front of the light or above me, come down to my level and sit beside me so we can get some beautiful eye contact with the camera. Be prepared to cuddle your milky-wet child if they are upset. If your baby is crawling I will ask you to place them back onto the set, you may have to do this often, so don’t wear your best clothes, it might be ideal to bring a spare pair of clothes for yourself too.

We all get a bit of stage fright, even babies, so try to remain relaxed and enjoy the experience, just because your baby might not smile does not mean that we wont get some lovely photographs to celebrate their sitting milestone. Remember, I will always put your little one’s safety and happiness first and that means I cannot guarantee any poses. I will be lead by a number of factors such as, but not limited to; your baby's age, temperament and comfort.
